2022 REU Class Arrives to Seattle

Our 2022 REU cohort has arrived! The group gathered Thursday to kick off their weekly journal club, fueled by some of of Seattle’s best coffee (because it was 9AM, after all). Everyone is getting to know their mentors, their labs, and the research they’ll be digging into this summer. Our ETF Sam gave a great presentation on strategies for reading research, here are some of the bullet points!

We also got a chance to chat about non-science goals for the summer (SUP on Lake Union, celebrating Seattle PRIDE, finding art/tattoos/couches in the city)! Here’s a snap of the group intros!
