MEM-SeedChemistry

Alshakim Nelson is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. The Nelson lab develops stimuli-responsive polymers and biomaterials for 3D printing with a particular focus on hydrogels and ion gels. These materials are of particular interest for applications such as cell-immobilized bioreactors, autonomous shape-morphing objects, and degradable bioplastics.
