Nathan Kutz is the Robert Bolles and Yasuko Endo Professor of Applied Mathematics. His research involves data-driven modeling of complex physical systems, including the use of modern machine learning algorithms integrated with dynamical systems theory. His recent efforts have focused especially on model discovery and control in the context of a wide range of applications including material science, sensor technologies, optics, fluid dynamics, and neuroscience.
